The Blue Sky Tag is a fun June event for bloggers, and I’ve been tagged (nominated) to participate by Deborah Tayloe, an author at the DIY Home and Garden blog. The subtitle of her blog explains it all. “A Resource for Gardening, DIY Projects, Recipes” I love visiting there to see what helpful tips or tasty recipes, Deborah and/or one of her fellow writers is sharing. Thank you for the nomination, Deborah!
The Blue Sky Tag is eerily similar to the Liebster Awards that I’ve seen around. There are eleven questions, answers, and nominations to do. It’s a terrific way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
My being tagged means I’m “it” and it’s my turn to answer some questions and nominate eleven of my favorite bloggers. So, here goes…

Questions Given To Me
Why did you start blogging? I started blogging because I enjoy expressing myself through the written word. I started Imperial Crochet specifically because I love crochet, admire yarn art, and want to learn as much about it as possible.
If you could meet any historical person, from any era, dead or alive, whom would it be? Having grown up on Long Island, and having visited his residence there twice on school trips as a child, I became strangely intrigued by Theodore Roosevelt and his family. But in all honesty, if I could choose one famous person to meet, leaving off the historical part of the question because I refuse to see him that way, it would have to be David Bowie. Anyone who really knows me would know I was lying if I didn’t say that. In my opinion, the man was a genius and his music is, was, and always will be, the soundtrack of my life.
When is your most productive time of the day for writing, and why? My most productive writing time is early in the morning after my husband leaves for work and before the actual day-to-day hustle begins. It’s quiet then and I can hear myself think.
Who is the biggest fan of your blog (other than yourself)? I wouldn’t want to venture a guess as to who my biggest fan is. I consider myself lucky to have several people who follow Imperial Crochet (even some who aren’t related to me!) and read all of my blog posts. I’m grateful to each and every one of them.
What do you find the most challenging about blogging? The biggest challenge for me, right now, is to pinpoint the focus of Imperial Crochet. I want to write about “everything crochet” but that’s too broad of a topic. I need to whittle it down a bit.
How many pets do you have? I have one cat named Sonnie. He’s a beautiful blue-eyed red-point Ragdoll and a menace to society.
How do you unwind at the end of the day? Netflix and Crochet.
What do you hope to accomplish by the end of 2017? I hope to put some of my evil mental distractions to rest so that I can start writing my novel.
Chocolate or strawberry ice cream? When offered chocolate or strawberry ice cream I will always choose, vanilla.
What’s your biggest fear? That everything we do in this lifetime is all for nothing.
Choose one of the following vacations: an oasis in the desert, a tropical island, or a chalet in the mountains. Go: For me, a beach and a good book is all I need for the perfect vacation so take me to that tropical island, please.
