A Patriotic Pineapple for the 4th of July
16July 4, 2017 by Robin @ Imperial Crochet
My handmade crochet pineapple has red, white, and blue leaves to celebrate the 4th of July.
I made him using a pattern that I bought at Etsy but I’m not sure I got the stitches right. Since I was just playing around and he looked pretty pineappley, I wasn’t too worried about it.
The pattern is for making bunting, which I didn’t, and the red, white, and blue leaves were all my idea. I didn’t even make the leaves correctly. It’s like, once I went off the pattern, I just went completely crazy and worked it on my own.
I’ll get the crocheted pineapples right the next time.
Anyway…
Here’s wishing a safe, fun, and frog-free Happy 4th of July to everyone who’s celebrating today!

Patriotic Pineapple says, “Happy 4th of July!”
If you’re interested, the pattern I bought was from the Etsy seller called FloandDotShop and it’s called Kitch Pineapple Bunting – Crochet Pineapple Pattern. This is not an affiliate link. I just love the pattern.
I think your little patriotic pineapple is adorable! Except for my current project with the Dancing Butterflies wrap pattern, I never follow patterns exactly – in fact more and more frequently I’m not even using patterns at all. 🙂

Thank you Tami. I suppose I’ll grow more confident as I go on.

I love this quirky idea! I sometimes go ‘off pattern’ in my writing, and that’s often when the most interesting things happen.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and follow me and the storyhounds. 🙂
