Oops I Did It Again – Another Pretty Scarf

Nothing much to report today except that I finished another one of those really pretty scarves I’m making using the Prince Edward Island Scarf pattern I bought at Craftsy.

This time I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in a Charcoal Heather gray color.  They certainly named it right. I love how soft this yarn is.

Again, I went off pattern for the outside of the scarf after following the pattern for the mid-section.  I also switched up my hook for a larger size.  For this one I used a 5.5 mm size.

Scarf and Fingerless Gloves

Lousy photo of my  HOTH crocheted scarf and fingerless gloves.

I also made a pair of matching (in color) fingerless gloves.  I used a pattern I found at Repeat Crafter Me to make them.

You can get that pattern by visiting:  50 Minute Fingerless Crochet Gloves

I didn’t time myself when I made them, and I get distracted constantly by a couple of cats that live with me while I’m crocheting, so I can’t attest to the fact that they might take 50 minutes to make but they did work up quickly.

How about you?  What have you been getting into today?  Tell me about it in the comments.  I love hearing from my readers!

  1. Ooosh that deep colour, its lush!

  2. A very pretty shade of yarn for that lacy scarf and those mitts. I see you went with an I hook for the scarf; did you also use that size for the mitts? (I once followed a mitt pattern exactly and got a FO that didn’t even fit my daughter, let alone me, and I’ve fretted over getting the size of mitts right ever since.) I’m currently using one of those new Furls Streamline hooks to make a granny square baby afghan from the last of my cotton/acrylic blend stash.

I completely understand the cats that live with you. I have 2 feline roommates, and an 18 month old…Boy do distractions abound!

Beautiful work, too, by the way! I love Simply Soft. 🙂
