Just when I think I have a grip on learning this little thing called crochet, I find another completely new (old?) and intriguing technique that I’m dying to try.
If you follow The Crochet Crowd’s blog, then you already know that they’ve recently posted an Introduction to Mosaic Crochet Beginner’s Tutorial.
What is Mosaic Crochet?
From what I can see, two different colors of crocheted yarn mesh are worked (woven?) together without really combining. The end result looks similar to a mosaic tile floor.
You can learn (a lot) more about it by visiting: What is Mosaic Crochet at the Clearly Helena blog
It’s very pretty and it’s tempting me! I even have some yarn in my stash that I think would work well with this technique.
I’m currently knee-deep in this hooded scarf…
I’ve got a Beautiful Shells baby blanket to make before the end of next month for a brand new little nephew who’s on his way.
Any mosaic crochet learning that I’m going to do needs to be put on hold for a while.
If you’re interested and haven’t seen the post yet, you can read all about it by visiting The Crochet Crowd’s: Introduction to Mosaic Crochet Techniques + Beginner Tutorial
How about you? Have you ever done any mosaic crocheting? Is it hard, or very confusing? Do you have any tips you’d like to share? Or maybe you want to learn this technique, like I do? Will you add this to your crochet bucket list? Inquiring minds want to know!
Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I love hearing from my readers!
