I mean seriously, I have the set of 10 Amour Clover crochet hooks and I LOVE them so much. Their sizes are B-2.25mm, C-2.75mm, D-3.25mm, E-3.50mm, F-3.75mm, G-4.00mm, 7-4.50mm, H-5.00mm, I-5.50mm, and J-6.00mm. They have metal hooks and soft handles and are super comfortable to crochet with. Since I purchased them, I very rarely use anything else.
I like them so much that when I needed a larger size hook, a 10mm, I looked into the larger, or jumbo, Clover hooks and I was really disappointed to find that they only have them in that size with plastic hooks. I imagined they’re using the plastic to keep the weight down but something just didn’t sit right with me about it so I went ahead and bought another brand.
This hook worked fine and I thought, okay. I don’t need an expensive hook to get good results. But then, the next pattern I wanted to make called for a 9mm and the store I was shopping at only had the plastic Clover in that size. Since I had a coupon, I bought it and now I’m kicking myself about my previous purchase. The difference is incredible.
OH. EM. GEE. I learned that the jumbo plastic hooks are just as nice as the smaller metal Amour hooks. They glide through the yarn like butter and are as light as a feather to hold. They’re all made in crazy bright fun colors which only adds to the merriment and ease of keeping track of them when they slip (or get pushed by one of my cats) under the couch.
After using my new 9mm I realized just how really heavy the 10mm was. Not to mention it was tugging while I crocheted which slowed me down a lot.
Before posting this, I put my money where my mouth is by going to Amazon and ordering an entire set of them. I seriously don’t want to use anything else.
From now on, I’m a Clover crochet hook girl, hands down!

In case you’re wondering about the photo above, I’m working on a hat using a pattern from Maria’s Blue Crayon. You can find it here: Chunky Crochet Beanie with Pom Pom – Free Crochet Hat Pattern.
Speaking of gifts, anyone who crochets would absolutely love a set, or even a single hook made by Clover.
