The Vampire Knitting Club by Nancy Warren – A Paranormal Cozy Mystery Book Series for the Yarn Obsessed… Like Me!

All my life I’ve loved reading horror and followed the careers of both Stephen King and Anne Rice with a passion but for the last few years, I’ve become more and more interested in reading something a little softer and less horrifying. Okay, I’ll admit it… I like reading cozy mysteries… especially at night.

I accidentally fell into this type of story by watching the Netflix television shows, Rosemary and Thyme, Death in Paradise, and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

I like the bloodless murder, light romance, and humor that always comes along with solving the mystery in this genre. As I started reading more and more Cozies, I found that I really enjoy reading the ones that have paranormal situations and witches in them. That’s why I was beyond excited when I found The Vampire Knitting Club book series by Nancy Warren.

Not only does this one have witches, a black cat, vampires, and the paranormal twists that I love so much but the whole thing revolves around a yarn store in Great Britain – a place that I’d love to visit one day!

I finished reading this book last night and I’m already looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I found the book to be well written, fun to read, easy to follow and the mystery held my interest all the way through. I love the characters. The dialog was terrific and being a crochet enthusiast, I loved the yarn shop where most of the story took place. In fact, to date, this is my new favorite cozy mystery series!

I’m not the only one who likes it either. As of this posting, there are 111 reviews at Amazon with a total of 4 1/2 stars.

What’s it all about?

Vampires who knit.
A troublemaking witch.
Who killed Granny β€” and is she really dead?

Lucy Swift arrives in England expecting to spend some much needed R&R with her grandmother who owns a yarn shop in Oxford, only to learn that her grandma has passed away.

The sleuthing and paranormal activity gets underway when Lucy discovers that her beloved grandmother did not die peacefully in her sleep but was indeed murdered… but who would want to kill such a nice old lady… and why?

As of this posting, there are 4 books in this outstanding series with the 5th one due out in February.

Hi Robin! Nancy here. I just saw this and am so thrilled you enjoyed the book. To answer andywinder’s question, Book 3 is called Crochet and Cauldrons πŸ™‚ Wouldn’t want those who crochet to feel left out. Thanks again for the nice review, you really made my day. Best, Nancy
